Ready When You Are Sweet Girl!

Wow, I can not believe I made it to our 37th week in pregnancy!  The time really has flown by, although these past few weeks have been dragging!  I know that I still have 3 weeks left until our due date, but I would be 100 percent content if baby girl decided to make her appearance a little earlier.  I never realized how hard pregnancy can be on your body.  I've developed some type of pregnancy carpel tunnel in my hands, so my fingers are always numb and it hurts to open and close my hands.  Working this late in the game is also taking a toll on my body, and it's funny how things that used to be so easy and mindless are now grueling tasks (bending over to pick something off the floor, getting off of the couch or out of bed, etc) Luckily I only have 2 more weeks of work, but yes, an early arrival would be much encouraged!

However, I am afraid that we may not get our wish.  I've been having lots of braxton hicks contractions, and sometimes it feels like she's gonna fall right out of me, but these are things that don't have much to do with labor unfortunately. I have seen the doctor twice and we aren't making much progress.  We know that her head is down and in a good position, but no dilation or effacement yet.  I also think that she's dropped a little bit since my belly seems a little lower.  Doctor Ghandi does think that by my next appointment, which is this Friday, that I should show some progress.  Fingers crossed!

Meanwhile, Rob and I have been preparing for baby's arrival.  Now that Rob has started his new job, he's been home much more, and he's been very willing to help get everything ready for the big day.  Our bags are packed and the car seat is installed, so I think we are ready to go!  So whenever you're ready baby girl, daddy and I even more ready to finally hold you in our arms and give you millions and millions of kisses! Woo Hoo!!
