Since coming home from the hospital, Sophia has experienced so much already. She has a brand new surrounding that I think she's adjusted to quite well. We were most surprised to see how Luigi reacted to the newest part of our family, and it seems like he absolutely adores her. He is very protective of her, and checks on her frequently when she's sleeping or crying. I think they will really become great friends as Sophia grows with our family.
Sophia also experience her first bath at home. The first few times we bathed her, she screamed and cried the entire time, but the other night when Rob bathed her she seemed perfectly content. She didn't make a single sound, really seemed to be enjoying her bath. Maybe it's Rob's calming effect that relaxes her. Hopefully this will be a time we can all enjoy as it becomes a bigger part of our bedtime routine.
Something we are all adjusting to is Sophia's eating and sleeping patterns. She loves to eat and expects to be fed every 2-3 hours, day and night. Luckilly, after she's finished eating, she generally falls into a deep sleep, so those late night feedings aren't so bad. She does sleep 3 hour stretches, so I'm getting about 8 hours of sleep all together which works for all of us. Hopefully she'll get both of our sleeping genes, because we definitely LOVE to sleep! Keep it up Sophia!
One of my favorite times during the day is when Sophia is wide awake in the morning. We put together her activity mat, and she absolutely loves it! Her favorite thing to do is look at herself in the mirror. I swear she would stare at that mirror for hours if I let her. I think it's really helping her focus her eyesight because she really has started to focus on what she's looking at. We also have introduced Tummy Time, which I only let her do a few minutes at a time because I'm terrified she'll suffocate herself. She is so strong, and it's amazing how much control she has over her neck muscles. I think she'll be lifting her head in no time. She's also developing some pretty amazing reflexes and gross motor skills. When laying on her activity mat, she grabs for the different animals that are hanging down from it. It's so cute to watch her try so hard to do such simple tasks!
I really can not express how in love I am with this little person! I can't wait to see her develop her own personality and see which parts of her are from Rob and I. We still can't decide who she looks like, so hopefully as she grows it will be more apparent to us. Watching Rob as a father has definitely been an amazing experience. It's so cute when I hear him teaching her rap songs and different ways to flex her muscles. She will definitely experience a life filled with love and joy.

So sweet! You guys sure made a cutie!!!! :)
